U.S. Illegal Immigration Arrests On The Rise

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials say that illegal immigration arrests spiked over the last year in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
According to ICE statistics, more than 3,100 illegal immigrants were arrested during fiscal year 2008, which ended September 30. The number is about a 50 percent increase over the 2,055 arrests in 2007.
Authorities attribute the rise in arrests to a greater effort to identify illegal aliens who have been arrested for other crimes and improved communication with local authorities.
Although the Virginia increase was significant, it seems to be in line with the general rise in U.S. illegal immigration arrests.
During the same period, officials arrested and deported some 6,000 illegal immigrants in Colorado and Wyoming, a seven percent increase over the previous year.
According to ICE, illegal immigration deportation rose by 20 percent in fiscal year 2008 with 349,000 illegal immigrants arrested and deported over that period.
ICE, which was established in 2003 and is the largest investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security, reported that 111 arrests were made over a five-day period ending Friday.

There is no question that this illegal immigration has caused more problems than anyone could have ever imagined. With the Arizona State Illegal Immigration Law upheld in the courts two months ago, there is no excuse for any State not to have a State law to get rid of the ILLEGAL ALIENS.
The problems they are causing WILL NOT go away until each and every ILLEGAL ALIEN is out of this Country and back in their own country where they belong. Then, and only then, will these problems go away. America has a lot of problems right now, and ILLEGAL ALIENS do not have to be one of them.
